Trustworthy AI Systems: Software Engineering, Machine Learning and Applications

Dr Elisavet Andrikopoulou is a Senior Lecturer of computer science at the University of Portsmouth, UK. She serves as publications and communications lead of the BCS Faculty of Health and Care and as the Publications Officer of the European Federation for Medical Informatics (EFMI). She is an applied health services researcher and computer scientist, and holds a PhD in Health Informatics, an MRes focused on simulation modelling and a first-class BSc in Computer Science. Her research looks at how digital and data-driven interventions work, for whom and in what circumstances. It combines realist and mixed-methods evaluation, machine learning and natural language processing. Her current work covers learning health systems, computable clinical knowledge, AI evaluation, health misinformation, and care pathways for chronic conditions, such as diabetes and heart failure.
